Top Techniques For Making Hilarious Prank Calls

If you are a fun loving person, prank calling people can infuse a boring Friday with a load of laughs. Generally, while anyone can prank call, the more sophisticated your prank calling becomes the more fun you can have with the activity until eventually you are prank calling like a pro.

Before we examine the toolbox that a prank caller can use to achieve superior results. Let's look at the two different types of prank callers that one might typically encounter.
The two camps can most easily be categorized by their levels of expertise.

The primary and most common kind of prank caller is the amateur. The amateur crank caller almost operated randomly. They know they want to have fun, but they are not sure how to go about the prank call so they usually call random numbers, say something silly, and hang up.

The more refined version of the amateur prank caller is the less-common pro pranker. This caller generally unfurls a number of tools which he utilizes to make each call unfold in a hilarious manner. This prank caller, though once an amateur, has learned that prank calls can be much more enjoyable if the caller does their homework.

If you fall into the first category, but want to graduate into the second, what can you do? Follow these three guidelines for improving your prank calls.

Technology Makes A Prank Call Better

Remember, that if you approach a prank call without a plan, it is not likely to go as you expected. Today, people can trace and use caller ID to identify a caller. Use a service to disguise and change your phone number information.

Target Many Victims

A common mistake is to call the same person multiple times. This is not a bright idea. Once a person has realized that they are being prank called it is better to move onto your next target rather than continue to call or even harass the same person.

Be Creative

The key to a good prank call is your imagination. Prank calling when inspired can lead to the best results. My advice is to use your imagination to prolong the call by taking your target around all the twists and turns of the joke before arriving at the punchline.

Many prank callers are shocked at how much their prank calls improve when they put these tips to practice. Just remember that prank calling can be fun and enjoyable when done right.

Fear of Funny: What Scares Us About Humor

We come into this world laughing.  Any parent can tell you about the joy of babies laughing, for no known reason save the joy of it. As children age, they keep on laughing: on average, kids laugh 300 times a day.  Yet the older we get, the less we laugh. The average adult laughs 15 times a day ...  95% reduction from the carefree days of childhood.

Where have the giggles gone? Did the chuckles canter away, leaving humor high and dry? Have our high-stress, high-tension lifestyles made it impossible to laugh? Some people think so.  Yet these same people acknowledge that humor is one of the most affordable, accessible stress relief tools going.  With that in mind, we have to ask: why aren't adults laughing ... even half as much as we used to when we were children?

One of the reasons we don't do things ... any thing ... is that we're afraid.  We're afraid of being bitten, so we don't pet the dog.  We're afraid of being rejected, so we don't ask the pretty girl or handsome guy out.  We're afraid of getting audited, so we don't under-report our income every April 15.  Every action has a potentially negative consequence, and it's fear of those consequences that keep us from acting.

What are we afraid of when we don't laugh? Here are the top three fears, things that make people hold in the laughs -- even when they want to.

I don't want to be the only one laughing: What would happen if you laughed and no one else did? Would you be judged by your friends, your peers, your family members? Would they think you were dumb, gauche, unsophisticated, mean? The fear of being the only one to laugh is strong and pervasive. Many people will only laugh after someone else has, letting someone else 'shoulder the burden' of laughing first.

Concerns about professionalism plague many would be laughers.  Our jobs dominate our lives: we spend far more time at work than we do with our families or friends. With our financial security dependent upon our work, and a dour economic picture, the need to laugh gets pushed off of center stage. Many people worry that the occasional giggle would destroy their professionalism.

Concern over being seen as 'mean' stops many people, who are confused about the difference between therapeutic, appropriate humor, and the taunting, teasing, sarcasm that we first encountered in the school yard.  Obviously, we should not be using humor to inflict pain; there is plenty to laugh at in this universe without targeting other people.
Make yourself aware of the difference, and diligently practice the former.  You 'll find you won't have to worry about the latter  ...  it will feel 'wrong' when you use mean spirited, negative jokes.

Laughter, Health and Well-Being

Medical studies document the relationship between laughter and health. Dr. Herbert Lefcourt, a renowned psychologist researched the consideration that laughter and how it can alter our reaction to stress.

In his research, the participants reviewed the occurrence of significant stressful life experiences happened over a six month period, as well as their negative emotions and disruptions were reviewed.

He then administered tests to evaluate use of humor, perception of humor, appreciation of laughter, and efforts to include opportunities for humor and laughter into each subject's lifestyle.

The outcome found the ability to enjoy and experience humor can dampen to negative and disruptive moods that were experienced in response to the stressful events that were perceived negatively.

The studies conducted during the last decade aids our understanding of the mind and body's intrinsic link.  The feelings and moods we trigger have an important affect on our immune system's health and function.

Patricia Wooten, a nurse-researcher conducted another intriguing study in 1990 at the England's 8th International Conference.  Wooten measured changes in an appreciation of laughter in response to a laughter training course.  She discovered that people who were led and guided to use laughter cultivated a sense of control in their lives.

We cannot control the external events in our world but we do have the ability to control how we view these events and respond to them emotionally. Through humor and laughter, we can somehow maneuver emotional hindrances into controllable responses, thus, preventing possible negative impact on our health and immune system.

We can't alter the outside world and events as we would like, we do posses the means to affect how we see these events emotionally, and respond to them. Using humor and laughter, we can take charge of our challenging and unhealthy reactions in more positive ones, and bypassing the deteriorating effect on our health and immune system.

There's a difference between appropriate and inappropriate humor that is healthy and laughter that is harmful and unhealthy.  The basic rule of thumb is that appropriate humor is inclusive, bringing people together.  It decreases prejudice by focusing on the universal human experience.

It encourages a positive atmosphere, and builds rapport and trust.  Inappropriate humor is exclusive, separates people, offends or lacks awareness of others' feelings. Research has also shown that there is a distinctive difference in the health benefits of positive and the damage of negative humor.  Positive humor is beneficial to health, while negative (inappropriate) humor is not.

We know when we experience positive and negative humor.  The negative type, while appearing to be funny and harmless, is quite disruptive physiologically.  We have the ability to sense what's positive and uplifting and what's harmful, either to others or ourselves.

It is important to acknowledge what we feel and sense, and allow that to guide us.  It will fortify our bodies and strengthen our sense of well-being.

Funny Groom Speeches - The Rules

Groom speeches are traditionally not funny. In fact, these are considered as the most serious of all wedding speeches.

Nevertheless, many people appreciate funny groom speeches as these tend to hold the attention of the audience a while longer than the serious ones. But how does one recreate a very serious speech? Here are the dos and don'ts.

Do interject some funny stories into the speech. Most people have some funny experiences which many people may find quite amusing. It is therefore possible that you too have some.

So, use these stories as parts for your speech. While not everyone in the audience will laugh at your joke, it is likely that a really funny, well-delivered joke will give some people in your audience some good reasons to laugh. Be careful to choose jokes and funny stories that are in good taste though. Anything that sound embarrassing or demeaning will most likely fail to make your audience smile.

Do use an entertaining one liner. One liners are, in general, statements that were made to ensure that some people in the audience would laugh. Refrain from using tired lines though as these may not make some of the people in the crowd laugh. They have probably heard these common jokes someplace else already. Also, remember not to refer to sexual subjects (this is somewhat the job of the best man) and cliches that refer to the same thing.

Prepare the listerners for the punch line. The most common mistake with jokes, even at wedding parties and even when they're delivered by the groom, is that there is little momentum to propel the ready the crowd for the punch line.

This is mostly because the groom was too anxious to make the people laugh with his joke. The fault lies in the character of the groom as well; if he's not naturally funny, he probably has no knack for judging the right time to crack the punch line. The best option therefore is to speak as natural as you can, that is, not to overkill the joke if you don't feel like you and your audience is not having fun with it.

Do try to be innovative. Give your crowd something that they've never seen before or one that is innovative and funny. The audience often has the ear for original speeches, if yours sound too common, they'd probably lend their ears to something else. So be a bit dramatic with your speech, play with it. Use materials that are unconventional, or perhaps something that is out of this world.

Do use some old jokes, but recreate them. Contrary to some people's opinion, old jokes can still make some people laugh. One that usually makes people giggling is the one where the groom reads some portions of his speech, rips his script off, and say that it was the script from his previous marriage. If you can successfully deliver this joke, well and good. If you cant, try to look for other jokes that can still entertain your audience.

Don't compose an anecdote that never really happened. If you plan on making it sound like a joke, a make up anecdote is an okay choice. But when you present it as a funny event that really happened, you might as well abandon the idea.

Not everyone really gets away with a fake anecdote so it's better that you just say what really happened.

Don't try too hard to make the crowd life. The rule in cracking jokes - don't overdo it. It is not your job to be funny and funny groom speeches are delivered basically only to add color to the serious speech.

What Is It About Men and Their Dogs!!

Ok, so hold it right there fellas.....this could work equally well for us gals too!

After reading this you could be forgiven for thinking that there is something a little deeper, if not a tad sinister in the phrase... 'mans best friend'

Being a chronic dog lover, after having a giggle at this, I had no trouble forgiving dogs for their actions......as for the guys..well..!!!!!!!!

Dogs from a Man's Perspective:

1.  The later you are, the more excited your dogs are to see you.

2. Dogs don't notice if you call them by another dog's name.

3. Dogs like it if you leave a lot of things on the floor.

4. A dog's parents never visit.

5. Dogs agree that you have to raise your voice to get your point across.

6. You never have to wait for a dog; they're ready to go 24 hours a day.

7. Dogs find you amusing when you're drunk.

8. Dogs like to go hunting and fishing.

9. A dog will not wake you up at night to ask, "If I died, would you get another dog"??

10. If a dog has babies, you can put an ad in the paper and give them away.

11. A dog will let you put a studded collar on it without calling you a pervert.

12. If a dog smells another dog on you, they don't get mad. They just think it's interesting.

13. Dogs like to ride in the back of a pickup truck.

14. If a dog leaves, it won't take half of your stuff.

and last, but not least:

15.If you locked your wife and your dog in the boot of your car, when you open it - who do you think will be the happiest to see you?

While going through my files of fun material this week,  and yes it does seem to be all about 'Men', this little beauty caught my eye...two men in deep and profound discussion - Ha, ha a great one  for this weeks Fame Bin...Enjoy!!

Two Aussie guys are out together on their annual fishing trip.  The weather is perfect, clear skies with a gentle breeze as they sit quietly fishing, drinking their beer, like most healthy, happy and well adjusted married Aussie men do.....

Almost silently, so as not to scare the fish, Bob says to Earl, 'Mate...I think I'm gonna divorce my Daphne. She hasn't spoken to me in over 2 months.'

Earl continues slowly sipping his beer then thoughtfully  and very quietly says...

'You better think it over long and hard, cobber. Women like that are really hard to find.'

Is that all it was every going take - 2 months of silent treatment?

Following the events that took place the night of August 9, 2009 in Canton, Ohio it has come to light that an epidemic is spreading across the United States at an alarming rate.

There is no known cure for this disease that has been described as a fever. Top health officials are in meetings but feel the outlook is bleak.

The disease has been temporarily labeled "Pigskin Fever". Most of the symptoms are still unknown, but early signs of the disease include symptoms such as the painting of one's face in team's colors, loud noises, colored hair, and more.

Those inflicted with the illness supposedly insist upon spending Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and once in a while, Thursday, spending as much time in front of the television as they possibly can while watching football in an effort to control their symptoms.

One inflicted victim ("Bob") described the situation to us. While he had spent most of the summer casually watching NASCAR and baseball, he suddenly changed the station to his local FOX channel and before he knew it, he found himself suited up in a football uniform with his face painted.

Now, his neighbors are all on alert Aside from all of the ornaments he's littered his front yard with, he found a neighbor carrying a crate of oranges to his door, tackled him, took the oranges, and ran them back to his house across the street before dancing in celebration.

While many will be concerned with trying to get their fill to feed the fever the CDC reports that within one month there will be football in full swing at every level and those affected by this disease should be able to find comfort. If the fever becomes uncontrollable it has been noted that by joining 100,000 or more at any of the major universities in the country will bring immediate relief.

Even the government has been infected with this illness. And happily. They believe the good outweighs the bad, and recommends that anyone without it spends time with someone infected in the hopes of catching it themselves.

Having said all that, football is back! I'm one happy man for it!

* Can stay afloat with a life jacket.

Supervisor

* Falls over doorsteps when trying to enter buildings,

* Wets himself with a water pistol,
* Plays in mud puddles.
* Prays.

Secretary

* Lifts buildings and walks under them,
* Kicks locomotives off the tracks,
* Catches speeding bullets in teeth and ears,
* Freezes water with a single glance.
* Is an atheist.

Although rare - a particularly good opportunity to see all these amazing characters demonstrate other hidden talents and abilities is at annual conferences and other such company management get togethers!!
