Great Thinkers – Fun is Not a Luxury
by Cathryn Johnson
With the recession hitting many Americans where it hurts – in their pocketbooks – spending on leisure, entertainment and fun has taken a big hit. Out-of-job families are managing their money, and the first thing that usually goes is spending on entertainment. And I have noticed that not only are my out-of-work friends cutting back on leisure spending, but they are also cutting back on fun in general. They tend to be in a more solemn mood. Friends that once sat around and light-heartedly joked with one another, tend now to be te...

Jose The Jalapeno
by Shaun Baird
Another one of Jeff Dunhams unique group of colorful dummies will be the one and the only Jose The Jalapeno Pepper - on a stick.
Any time Jose refers to his owner Jeff Dunham, he has issues calling him Jeff which means that he calls him senor Heff, not Senor Jeff. It has to be something connected with the full Latin accent.

Then someone, who was not remotely Irish saw this as an opportunity to share some Irish fun poking whereupon our far distant twice removed, thousand time sobered up relat...

Dear Diary - New Car, Body or Perhaps New Doctor
Went for my annual check-up yesterday …
Funny thing I noticed, my doctor is looking a little older than I remember him since last year. Actually come to think of it I thought he looked a little old last year too! Such a shame, he was such a good looking man, men do not age as well as we do! … do they?

What really annoys me though is he keeps trying to make me look like the ‘old one’. Get this, yesterday he told me that I am now at the age where my bones are more brittle so I should 'stay off tables'...
