Tree Surfing - Isn't It Illegal?

It's moments like this, after reading this news item from azCentral, that confirm my idea for starting Daily Screw-Ups in the first place. This is the headline that caught my attention 'Tree Surfer Slams Into Car" - now immediately I began reading I ascertained that hey, the tree surfer was a 'guy'... wow!!and why am I not surprised?

As a mother of two boys (now men, who were lucky enough to survive some of the really hair-brained decisions they   made for themselves during their...is the phrase still 'formative years'?) - anyway back to what I was saying..

As a mother of two sons, aunt to what seems to be an incalculable number of  'nephews',  and friend of,  and to,  many other mothers with sons - I can attest to the fact that when it comes to boys, men, guys, males, the 'so-called 'leaders of the pack'... they are absolutely, without any doubt 99.99999% likely to be the ones to do something completely 'idiot boxed ridiculous and dumb'.

This news story certainly bears up my case - what I found even more of a giggle were the comments left by some of the readers - two examples are:

• I think the head injury was a pre-existing condition, and

• I would like to know where precisely it says in the CVC(California Vehicle Code) that 'tree surfing is illegal'? If there is not a law on the books for this, then Arnold needs to make sure that there is a law put on the books for this.
