Some trivia for you today Dailyscrewups readers. This email was in my in-box today. The subject line was -
Today is International Disturbed People's Day...What are you?
The message inside it read...
'If you suspect for even one tiny moment that you are, or might be, disturbing to yourself or other people, then please, please send a message to another, or all, of your 'disturbed friends'... just as 'I' have done'.
Well, I thought... ok, but who is 'I' and what kind of message am I to send? Should I send a 'disturbing message', and if the answer to that question is yes...then I have another question...How 'disturbing' should the message be?
Then I had a very ''disturbing' thought! ...just what is it that I do that would have someone send me this type of email and good lord! why would they find me disturbing.
I went back to the message. It went on to say -
- I don't care if you lick windows, or
- occasionally pee on yourself (or other people) or
- count the grains of rice in your sushi and then 'scream holy murder' if you end up with an uneven number,or
- pat and stroke fire hydrants, or
- don't have a clue who sent you this email!!!!!!!!
..Wait a minute, I don't do any of those things, just who is the person that has sent me this 'disturbing' email?
It went on to say - Today's Message of the Day is:
- Life is short
- Break the rules
- Forgive quickly
- Kiss slowly
- Love truly
- Laugh uncontrollably, and never regret being 'disturbed!'...
I don't recognize the 'send address' and it was just signed ... 'Your Best Disturbed Friend'
This picture was attached...I only recognize one person in it 'Jim Carey'..maybe he sent it!
So, am I disturbed for writing this post? Probably, and ...
Whoever you are that sent it to me... did I LOL?..... yes I did!
Now...Let's all have a 'disturbingly' wonderful and memorable 'International Disturbed Peoples Day'...

Thank you for this Today for me was defently a disturbing day. I am closing escrow in a home and all my plans for the weekend went down the drain becaouse my loan wont fund till tommorow so that means I wont get keys till Monday. AWWWW I was so mad but looking at this from your Blog! Help me regain and yeah Yup Life to short to sweat the small stuff. I should know this by now. What am I thinking. Just Venting Now Sorry.

I’m not disturbed… at least on my planet I am normal
I could list lots of things that disturb people but haven’t got space for them all!! Separating skittles into colors (or any other fruity sweets in fact), I try not to do it if people are watching though!
Lol..I have a friend who has only red and blue clothes pegs – when she uses them she has to be consistent, that is one red, one blue, one red, one blue – heaven forbid that she would hang out an article on the clothes line with two red or two blue pegs. I don’t know is this ‘disturbed behavior’ or ‘obsessive compulsive’?

Funny thing you know, ever since I wrote this post I have begun to notice, more and more, some of my own ‘odd’ behavior…LOL – I notice that I talk to my dog a lot, but what is scary is I also in an animated voice answer myself..think I need therapy!!

How about licking fire hydrants and patting and stroking windows? Does that count? I’m a little concerned if so.
