  2. MC can sometimes ruin the wedding like what happen to my co-workers wedding that they just call a friend to do this and that friend has no experiences in doing MC wedding. The whole program is ruin and so the sequences of the traditional events of that night’s activities. So choose someone that really knows how to handle a wedding program.

I remember my wedding last month that took one MC on the spot because the other guy is sick. The good thing is that the replacement is already use doing some MC on other company activities and they handle it well. I was really quite nervous that time :D

      Hi Justin
Thank you for your kind and positive feedback. You are so right about funny speeches not being easy. Also not everyone can be funny so trying to sprinkle humor into a wedding speech if you do not have well developed ‘comedic abilities’ is truly a dangerous move.

      Cheers

  9. Hey Lorrette,

Firstly let me say that I love your blog and find some of the post very amusing and interesting. Wedding speeches are always tough – there is such a fine line between massive success and massive failure, I think reading a book or a speech guide goes a looong way to making a good speech. Thanks for the info.

Well, thank you for the wonderful and positive feedback Alexa…I am always glad to hear when someone feels DailyScrew-Ups is amusing and worthwhile. Thanks for your comment too, you are so right about their being a fine line between what could be a great or really bad speech. I think we have all heard one at least once in our lives and then felt immediately embarrassed for the one making it.

      Take care
