Vodka and Red Bull Xmas Cake Recipe

Yup, it’s nearly that time of the year… and now, it seems, is the time to start baking that special  cake.

This one never ceases to amuse me and make me laugh.  Every year it just gets better, either because the Vodka is being drunk a little faster or the Red Bull is a tad stronger than the year before....

Who knows...who cares...it is meant to put a smile on your face...reading it that is!

I guess if you actually cooked it and followed the recipe closely it would put a smile on your face as well..  Enjoy!!

This particular recipe is said to be a long-time favorite of someone’s grandmother.

Actually it is not so much the recipe as it is the ‘method’ that is famous and well known.

The Infamous 'Grandma's Vodka and Red Bull Xmas Cake' Recipe

1 cup water
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
4 large eggs
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups dried fruit
Lemon juice
Big Packet of Mixed Nuts
1 LARGE can of Red Bull
1 VERY LARGE bottle of Vodka

METHOD

Before commencing with any preparation, it is important to sample the Vodka to check two things:

a) the quality of the Vodka , and
b) the consistency of the Vodka.... so..1.  Take a large bowl, while doing so, check the Vodka and be sure it is of the highest quality by mixing one level cup of Vodka with a little Red Bull and drinking it quickly.

2.   Repeat step one above again.

3.   Turn on the electric mixer, beat one buttercup in a large fluffy bowl.

4.   Add one teeeespoon of sugar.  Beat again.

5.   Now a good idea is to make sure the Vodka is still ok, repeat Step 1.

6.   Flavor with Red Bull to taste. Drunk quakily.

9.   Try anotha cup – jump in a suitcase.

17. Turn the mixerer off.

54. Break two legs - add to bowl - chuck in big box of dried fruit.

35. Shample the Vodka to check for tonsisticitiy, flavor with a little Bed Rull.

35. Next, ssifffft two cups of salt.

17. Fhrow a pinch of Bed Rull over your shoulder.

1.   Kick can around the kitchun, have shumbody mop the fhloor.

0.  Sheck the Vodka (shee steps 1 and 2).  Now, check yur nuts.

19. Now shift the lemon and strain yur nuts.

20. Add one table.

21. Add a shpoon of shugar or tea..or whatsh

ever you can find.

22. Grease tha oven.

47. Turn cake tin 360 degrees - no fall over.

  7. LOL @ 1 VERY LARGE bottle of Vodka. The recipe probably needs a VERY LARGE bottle of Vodka because the one making it or the ones watching will probably drink the vodka before it’s mixed with the other ingredients. :)

Aah Monika! nice to hear from you again. But careful if you are serious about the recipe, there is more danger in following it than there is in eating the finished cake once it is baked.

  19. It’s looks like the cake in the vampire show, Trueblood. I remember, sookie was eating the last cake that his grandmother bake before she died. And Sookie was crying while eating the cake, it really looks like that one. I love cake, and if I could get one of that, much better.
