United In Breaking Guitars and Giving No Customer Service
The wonderful world (if it in fact still exists) of 'First Class Customer Service' has one very constant.....Constant!! It is, in a lot of cases, consistently bad.
Bad service continues to amaze and amuse us with some of the most outrageous behavior ever, being performed by people who are actually being paid to serve others.

And doesn't that just tick you off too? Inadvertently, companies and businesses are paying these people a wage to provide us with lousy customer service.
Now I will get to where the United Breaking Guitars fits into to all this in a moment. But first can I tell you about what took place just last week in a high profile city boutique.
A well dressed woman around fortyish stepped into a change room to try on a garment. She broke the zip on her own dress while getting undressed.
She called out to the sale girl who promptly whipped the woman's dress into her arms announcing that she would get a temporary fix for it - though how she was planning to perform what she called a temporary fix on a zip... I am still not sure.
At the same time the sales girl, leaning back into the dressing room, grabbed the garment that the woman had taken in to try on and announced that 'This particular style was a very small make - she would need to get another in a bigger size.'
Now this is when the fun began. About 5 minutes goes by and the customer, who has been standing around the change room in her underwear, calls out for the sales girl. No response!
After a further 15 minutes or so and just as many "Helllooooo can I please get some help' calls from the customer, someone finally shows up, and you guessed it, it is not the original sales girl.
In short, the original girl had left for the day (end of her shift), and guess what...now, no-one could find the customers dress.
The customer is rightfully angered and does not want to spend one lousy cent in this store after all this. The manager refuses to accept any responsibility saying that when the sales girl returned to work the next day the customers dress would be returned to her.
Of course the big question here was - HOW WAS THIS CUSTOMER SUPPOSED TO GET HOME IN JUST HER UNDERWEAR???????
OoooooH!! she has to BUY ANOTHER DRESS FROM THE STORE!!!!
Well, three large cheers for our customer, she refused to buy another and rang a friend who brought her something to put on.
But....like I said 'Someone is paying these people to treat their customers this badly'...
Well perhaps she could write a song, sing it, video it and then stick it on YouTube like these guys did when United Airlines managed to break one of their guitars...
This is by far one of the best consumer complaints I have ever seen...enjoy!!....Lorrette

Sounds like a nightmare! I’m guessing that’s what customer service is like in most companies big or small in America. I especially hate it when they outsource customer services to other countries and you can’t understand a word they say
Have to tell you bad customer service is a personal ‘pet hate’ of mine. So I kind of enjoy the opportunity to take the mickey out of them now and again. Agree with your thoughts and feeling though, they are outsourced to any number of foreign countries and the language barrier only serves to explode the problems.
