I understand your dilemma all too well! Most of my family and friends live interstate, apart from my husband and kids (of course!). When you aren’t around somebody every day, and don’t know what they consistently use, what they’re talking about and excited about, etc, you often have no idea what to get them as a gift. Asking them what they would like is one thing … but a well thought out surprise beats the pants off just getting something I would have bought myself anyway. Gift vouchers are a good halfway point – and enlisting the ‘services’ of other friends and family members for research helps also!

Personally I think that Novelty ties make one of the best type of gift. There are so many novelty ties that can really express one’s personality. Why not go for that?
